LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR/ CLINICAL SUPERVISOR/CERTIFIED DARING WAY FACILITATOR/ CO-OWNER

(she/her)

I believe that counseling is an important element of self-care and whole-hearted living. Helping guide others towards a bolder, more fulfilling life is my purpose, and finding the most effective way to integrate various approaches to meet each individual’s unique needs is my goal. My priorities are creating a safe, non-judgmental and comfortable environment that allow us to explore even the hardest and scariest of topics, and to equip each person with the tools they require in order to feel empowered to manage the stressors of life more effectively.

Having started my career in the specialty of eating disorder treatment, and with over 23 years of professional experience, I am passionate about helping those seeking to overcome an unhealthy relationship with food and their bodies. Whether it occurs with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, grief, life transitions or parenting concerns, I am experienced in addressing these symptoms. I believe in a holistic approach to healing, and aim to work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that best possible treatment outcomes.

As a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator (CDFW) I strive to help uncover that past experiences and messages that are keeping you from the life you desire, whether in the format of individual or group sessions. The Daring Way™ is a empirically based program created from the work of Dr. Brené Brown. It explores topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that are transformative in becoming your most authentic self.

My core values are joy and well-being, so I can be found doing the things that provide inner peace and bring me the most joy; spending time laughing, connecting, and enjoying the present moment with friends, and family, by playing games, completing puzzles, baking/cooking, savoring various foods, or traveling to new places. I also relish spending time alone to renew and recharge myself; being outside in the sun, reading, listening to music, organizing things, practicing gratitude, engaging in joyful movement, and seeking something new to learn. I am committed to advancing the well-being of community through advocacy work, and fighting against the systems that create and maintain the inequity, oppression, and the dehumanization of others.
