Counseling can be both sacred and fun work. I aim to teach my clients how to transform their lives, learn to manage their mental health needs and gain a life full of hope and courage. I believe in the worth each of us posses and work alongside my clients to help them find this truth in their own lives. Equipping you with new tools to overcome whatever life throws at you, my goal is to help you get to the root of the issue and achieve true and lasting healing!
My training and expertise has led me to specialize in the treatment of Trauma, Eating Disorders, Anxiety, OCD and Early Childhood Attachment injury. I have a heart for working with women and mothers. I am skilled at working with individuals with complex trauma, survivors of childhood abuse, sexual trauma, religious and spiritual abuse, medical trauma and chronic illness and those that are desiring to end patterns of unhealthy and codependent relationships. I also love treating fellow therapists and those in helping professions, giving them the space to do the necessary healing work for themselves that they so graciously give to others. I use EMDR as my primary modality and aim to assist my clients in creating the change they are looking for in their lives.
In both my personal and professional life, I am passionate about learning to love and respect our bodies and you will often hear me saying “all bodies are good bodies". Creating a trusting and respectful relationship with your body can be hard work. Through the lens of Health at Every Size and the wisdom of Intuitive Eating this work is more than possible, it’s life changing!
In addition to being a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, I also provide EMDR Consultation. As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant, I provide consultation services to clinicians looking to sharpen and hone their EMDR skills. I am also a Faculty member at The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy founded by Deany Laliotis. Click here for more information on consultation services.
Outside of the office, you can find me listening to music, probably singing or dancing along. I also love to travel, be outdoors and enjoy great food! I am a mother to 4 children and one fur baby, a wife and a loyal friend. I am passionate about the dignity and value of all and work from an anti-racist framework in both my personal and professional life.
