Crystal Ashinhurst, MC, LAC
LICENSED ASSOCIATE COUNSELOR
(she/her)
I believe that, although our experiences are often more similar than we may realize, no two clients or journeys are alike. My approach prioritizes a focus on understanding each client’s worldview, intersecting identities, and experiences to individually-tailor treatment. People are complex, multifaceted, ever-changing, and tend to allude neat categorization. In acknowledging this, I aim to address the root causes of presenting problems via an integrative approach, rather than merely treating symptoms or ascribing pathology.
Having adopted the stance of a generalist, I have had the opportunity to engage in treatment with diverse clients experiencing a wide range of presenting concerns - including PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, gender dysphoria, and more. My experiences in integrative care settings have taught me to ensure that clients receive the highest possible quality of holistic, client-centered, and trauma-informed care. I am also trained in EMDR and provide comprehensive trauma treatment for those interested.
When I am not working, I prioritize spending time with loved ones, trying new foods (especially desserts), and keeping up with my many hobbies. I have long held an interest in martial arts and am currently training in Muay Thai. I love spending time creating things, whether through painting, digital art, sewing, crafting, or baking. I am also no stranger to tabletop gaming, video games, or their many associated fandoms.
